The last few days have been gut-wrenching for me. I spent them writing out a timeline from when I started RVing. I began in March of 2017, and most of the early stuff is in "Transcendental Homelessness," my process paper, which is a type of MFA thesis for Vermont College of Fine Arts, Master of Fine Art in Visual Art program, reads more like a biography, but with art and research references. I wrote it partially on the road and finalized it while visiting my brother's family for Christmas in North Carolina. I spent about a month with them. I realized that I was running out of money and sought employment so I could save up and return to California. I also took a leave of absence from the school so I could focus on stabilizing my financial situation.
My life got even weirder during my stay in Raleigh. Lots of memories came up for me, things I'd almost forgotten about. My time in Raleigh, in a trailer park, changed my life dramatically. It was like living in a Jerry Springer show. But I also made some friends who made me their family; they welcomed me into their lives, and I miss them dearly. So I got choked up and had a hard time focusing on the timeline task.
